The many choices our travelers enjoy are our recommendations that we call options and alternates:

Options are our recommendations for activities or excursions that can be enjoyed in addition to all of the activities and excursions in our expedition’s main itinerary. So if you enjoyed visiting the Taj Mahal but also want to see where the marble comes from, we can arrange for you to do that.

Alternates are our recommendations for activities or excursions that can be enjoyed instead of an activity or excursion in our expedition’s main itinerary. So if you have already explored Angkor Wat and would rather see a different ancient Khmer site, we can arrange for that as well.

Options and alternates are available at no extra charge. However, they are designed for very small groups and so have limited spaces available. Spaces will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Of course, the options and alternates we suggest are a mere sampling of what is possible. If, for example, you prefer to do something entirely different, let us know and we’ll make it happen.
